Origo

The moment when our innermost being resonates in harmony with the outside world is a blessing, a revelation. It is both a letting go and an opening up – to ourselves and to the world around us. A space of freedom emerges in which we find deep peace. Our past and our future merge into the present moment. No more questions. Everything is one, fulfilled and animated. The form of the Origo represents the space that encompasses all possibilities and is, at the same time, the source. It symbolises that within us lie all the possibilities for realising our potential. Focusing on this is always a return to our inner self, to our essence, our origin, in which we are eternally connected to the world, because everything springs from this.  

DEEPER MEANING

The shape of the Origo opens up space for the interplay between origin and potential in a fascinating way: a centre that would not be clearly defined as such without the points, and points that would have no direction without the centre. It is the same with us. Without our alignment with our origin, we cannot exist in space. Without us, the whole that emerges from the origin would not be complete. Numerologically, too, there are very interesting aspects that the Origo unites: the twelve points — a number that has always been used across cultures to describe completion. From the twelve months, through the 12 apostles, 12 colours in the colour wheel and the signs of the zodiac, right up to the 12 semitones that form an octave — all these forms represent the multitude of possibilities that an origin can hold within itself. A light source at the centre of the form transforms the geometry into a softly glowing body. The light passes through the edges, falls upon the surfaces, gathers at the vertices — and the space around them begins to reveal itself in a different way. Not brighter. Deeper.  

LIGHT EFFECTS

The Crystal Moon-coloured light fitting provides a prominent yet pleasantly diffused light and is therefore ideal for evenly illuminating different areas of a room. Light transmission is very high, and the luminaire provides neutral colour rendering. We recommend using a relatively low-output, warm white LED bulb in the range of 1800 to 2200K – preferably with a high colour rendering index of >= RA90.  

AREAS OF APPLICATION

The Origo adds that certain something to a room, casting it – quite literally – in a different light. The Origo is particularly well suited to darker areas of a room that need to be pleasantly brightened without being overly dominant. In entrance areas, foyers and lounges, too, the Origo conveys a sense of exclusivity; its design is distinctive, giving it a stately appearance whilst integrating harmoniously into a wide variety of interior styles. The Origo makes the room feel more inviting and friendly, instantly creating a special sense of well-being.  

RECOMMENDATIONS

Satin Shine works exceptionally well with light sources between 1200 and 2700 Kelvin, as these, in combination with the Origo lampshade, create a beautifully soft, warm golden ambient light.   Crafted with dedication – at our workshop in Lemgo.
