The form of the Origo represents the space that encompasses all possibilities and is, at the same time, the source. It symbolises that all the possibilities for realising our potential are already inherent within us. The source and possibilities are inseparably linked. Focusing on this is always a turning inwards, into our essence, our origin, where we are eternally connected to the world, because everything arises from this.

DEEPER MEANING

The shape of the Origo opens up space for the interplay between origin and potential in a fascinating way: a centre that would not be clearly defined as such without the points, and points that would have no direction without the centre. It is the same with us. Without our alignment with our origin, we cannot exist in space. Without us, the whole that emerges from the origin would not be complete. Numerologically, too, there are very interesting aspects that the Origo unites: the twelve points — a number that has always been used across cultures to describe completion. From the twelve months, through the 12 apostles and 12 signs of the zodiac, to the 12 semitones that make up an octave — all these forms represent the multitude of possibilities that an origin can hold within itself. A light source at the centre of the form transforms the geometry into a softly glowing body. The light passes through the edges, falls upon the surfaces, gathers at the vertices — and the space around them begins to reveal itself in a different way. Not brighter. Deeper.

LIGHT EFFECTS

The light fixture in Amber Oak emits an amber-coloured, deep, warm, almost glowing light. It conveys a sense of intimacy and tranquillity and is therefore ideal for use as atmospheric accent lighting, without brightening the surrounding space too much.

RECOMMENDATIONS

Amber Oak pairs beautifully with light sources between 2700 and 3200 Kelvin, as these create a lovely contrast to the warm amber tones. Warmer light sources are suitable when a slightly reddish, glowing light is preferred, which should have a subtle effect and create a particularly cosy atmosphere. Light transmission is rather low, so a slightly stronger light source is generally recommended.
