Cosmos

There are moments when we realise: everything has its place in a great interplay — ourselves included. Nothing stands alone. Everything is embedded in an order that extends beyond ourselves. And where everything has its place, nothing is missing: this realisation fills us deeply with trust in life and in what it reveals.
When what unfolds within us finds its place in life, we feel gratitude. We feel carried by existence, carried by the flow of life. We realise that there is no need to hold on to anything that is being carried.
What lay dormant as a source in Origo and unfolded in Nexus now arrives in the world in Kosmos. Another space now opens up, becomes a surface, becomes a place: thirty squares step in between the forms. The square has always symbolised the fundamental characteristics of our world: the four cardinal directions, the four elements, the four seasons.

DEEPER MEANING

Sixty-two shapes, three design principles: triangle, square, pentagon — the numbers three, four and five. Together, they form humanity’s oldest geometric triangle: 3² + 4² = 5². For millennia, master builders have been constructing right angles using a rope loop comprising three, four and five units — from Babylon to India and right through to the cathedral workshops of the Middle Ages. Three, four and five are the numbers with which people build the world. In the Kosmos, they are united as forms. The twenty triangles of the origin are still there. So too are the twelve pentagons of the unfolding. In music, this corresponds to the triad: three notes, each complete in itself, together forming a sound that is more than the sum of its parts. So it is with us. To be embedded means to have one’s place within a whole that is in motion — and to change with it, without losing oneself.
